At Cotlands, our strategy is focused on ensuring that every child younger than five has access to quality early learning opportunities, regardless of where they live or their socio-economic circumstances.

During the year, we continued to reposition the organisation towards the Cotlands ECCE Hub model - an integrated, community-based approach that strengthens early childhood care and education systems through practitioner support, toy libraries, training, quality learning programmes and community partnerships. Our strategic direction is informed by the growing need for scalable, sustainable and evidence-based solutions that align with South Africa's evolving ECCE landscape and the Bana Pele Shared Blueprint. We remain committed to supporting the professionalisation of the ECD sector, improving school readiness outcomes and strengthening pathways for Early Learning Programme registration and quality improvement.

This transition requires innovation, collaboration and disciplined stewardship of resources. As we move forward, we remain guided by our purpose: putting children first and building resilient communities through play-based learning and quality ECCE services.
